Gal 2:4  And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:

Many want to understand what spiritual abuse is exactly.  They want to know exactly how it affects them.  And they want to know exactly how they stand before God because of it.  This blog, with its postings, endeavors to answer these spiritual questions in a plain and simple way.

The answer is plain and simple.  It lies in the understanding that spiritual abusers are bad people.  And, that bad people do bad things.  The intent of bad people is to ‘remove’ Christians from God.

“To remove Christians from God”, is to bring them back in to Egypt; to bring them back in to ‘bondage’, in other words; back in to ‘spiritual slavery’.  Spiritual abusers are bad people who are jealous of the spiritual freedom we enjoy in Christ.  Spiritual abusers want to take Christians away from God, and to place them under the ‘yoke of bondage’.

The Bible speaks of the ‘yoke of bondage’, but it does not use the term ‘spiritual abuse’ per say.   However, the Bible does clearly describe ‘spiritual abuse’, and who does the ‘spiritual abusing’.  the Bible tells us, spiritual abusers are the false prophets; the wolves amongst the sheep; the false teachers; the false brethren.  A spiritual abuser, in other words, is a misguided teacher who is wantonly or ignorantly ‘taking your spiritual liberty in Christ’, so to bring you back into spiritual bondage under Satan.
